Wizkid reconciles with Shatta Wale, at event in Ghana

The Ghana-Meets-Naija event has come and gone.. and one of the high moments of the night was when  Wizkid  and  Shatta reconciled and even performed together on stage. Recall, Shatta once threatened Wizkid, warning him not to come to Ghana.. Apparently, it all started when the self-acclaimed king of Ghanaian dancehall music criticized Nigerian music sensation, Wizkid. In the interview with Kasapa FM, Shatta expressed his displeasure over how Ghanaians, especially celebrities like, put Wikzid on a pedestal. According to him, there is nothing exceptional about the afrobeats singer. He said Wizkid should be starstruck when he sees him (Shatta Wale). “I will not see Wizkid and be stunned, I rather want him to see me and be amazed because I don’t see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to the best African artiste”, he said. This of course caused uproar on social media, with many Nigerians and even Ghanaians attacking Shatta. Even some Ghanaians apologi

Wizkid Throws Shade At Tiwa Savage’s Ex?

Image
Wizkid has caused a stir on social media with a tweet that has been termed to be a subliminal shade directed at Tiwa Savage’s ex-husband, Teebillz. Although he (Wizkid) has since taken down the tweet, it has not stopped people from making a topic out of it. In the early hours of the day (June 3rd, 2018), Wizkid put out a controversial tweet that read;   ‘if I fxck your girl, u’re not getting her back.’ While the singer did not name anyone as the intended target of the tweet, the music community on social media have interpreted it as a shot at TeeBillz who is rumored to have lost his spot as Tiwa Savage’s lover to Wizkid. TeeBillz and Tiwa Savage were married for a period of about 4 years before the escalated crash of their marriage. The ugly gists of their time together got out to the internet and it was so bad that TeeBillz nearly took his own life. The couple agreed to dissolve the marriage earlier this year. Tiwa Savage has since developed a relationship with Wizkid t

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has asked Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana to withdraw his ‘This is Nigeria’ video and apologise to Nigerians, or face legal action. In the recently released video, some girls dressed in hijab were seen dancing the “shaku shaku” dance. Responding to criticisms that trailed the video, Falz explained that the girls were a representation of the abducted Chibok girls still in Boko Haram captivity. But MURIC, in a statement by Ishaq Akintola, its director, said the dancers in the video in no way depict the situation of the girls. The group also condemned “a character that dressed like a Fulani man, who suddenly abandoned his traditional guitar and beheaded a man” featured in the video. Describing the video as “thoughtless, insensitive and highly provocative,” MURIC said it could brew religious and ethnic crisis. It also said the video is spiteful and intended to denigrate Islam and Muslims. “MURIC rejects Falz’ explanation that the girls in hijab in his ‘Sha
