Carol Jiani (born Uchenna Ikejiani) is a Nigerian singer based in England, best known for her early 1981s hit "Hit 'N Run Lover". Uchenna Carol Ikejiani was born in Nigeria to an Igbo family. Jiani moved from Nigeria to Montreal, Quebec , Canada in the mid-1970s to study at Concordia University . In autumn 1977, she auditioned to appear on Joe La Greca's album Montreal . In early 1978, Jiani recorded two tracks for the project, "If You Believe in Me" and "Higher and Higher". These were released on an EP, with her credited under her birth name. Glenn LaRusso of Salsoul Records convinced her to shorten her name from Uchenna Ikejiani to Carol Jiani to make it easier for North Americans to pronounce. In 1980, Carol Jiani recorded two Sandy Wilbur-written pieces with La Greca, "Hit 'N Run Lover" and "All The People of the World". “Marry A Kenyan And Get Visa On Arrival” — President Kenyatta Tells Africans  Kenya President, Uhuru Kenyatta said on Tuesday that any African can get a visa on arrival in Kenya, and will be free to settle in the country if they marry a Kenyan. The Police have revealed that they are taking steps to investigate a video circulating on social in which dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is seen firing a gun sporadically. Public Affairs Director of the Ghana Police, ACP David Eklu says what Shatta Wale did in the video could amount to an offence. Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he noted that the act itself is an offence but the police would have to conduct further investigations. “If you fire a gun without lawful and necessary reasons it is an offence,” he said. The Police PRO explained that they will have to examine the video very carefully since it could have been doctored.
