"Avengers: Infinity War" Release date for Marvel superhero film moves up a week

The wait for "Avengers: Infinity War" just got a week shorter as Marvel moves release date up.

Marvel has moved the release of "Avengers: Infinity War" up by one week.

Marvel Studios announced on Twitter that the release has moved from May 4 to April 27, 2018. The announcement was made in a thread with Robert Downey Jr., who plays Tony Stark in the film.
In the anticipated superhero movie the Avengers join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to confront Thanos, who is trying to collect the Infinity Stones.



Anthony and Joe Russo, who directed “Captain America: Winter Soldier” and “Captain America: Civil War,” returned to direct “Avengers: Infinity War,” which also sees Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Holland, and Mark Ruffalo reprising their roles. 

"Avengers: Infinity War" is the beginning of the end for the first major story arc of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and features almost every main character from the marvel cinematic Universe to date.
The 2012’s “The Avengers” and 2015’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” both directed by Joss Whedon, have grossed nearly $3 billion worldwide.

“The Avengers” is the fifth-highest grossing film of all time with $1.52 billion and “Age of Ultron” is the seventh with $1.41 billion.

"Avengers 4" is scheduled to follow "Avengers: Infinity War" on May 3, 2019.
