"Falz Experience The Movie" Rapper explains what movie is about, inspiration and choice of cast

The first of its kind, "Falz Experience The Movie" is Falz's debut cinematic production.

On Friday, March 2, Falz The Bahd guy's debut cinematic production, "Falz Experience: The Movie," will debut in cinemas.

Written by Dami Elebe, the movie was inspired by the cinematic concert headlined by the rapper in December 2017.

A combination of a short film and the concert, "Falz Experience: The Movie" features the rapper alongside Bisola Aiyeola, Greg OJ, Adunni Ade and Frank Donga.

In this interview with Pulse Nigeria at the private screening of the project, Falz talks about what the movie is all about, the inspiration behind it and how he chose his cast.

On what "Falz Experience: The Movie" is about

Preceding the event, I worked on a short film which was then showed at the event; that was a prequel to the show.

What happened at the event was all scripted. There was a storyline and everything - the event itself was a movie.

So, a combination of the short film which was the prequel, everything being merged together is what is being shown as "Falz Experience: The Movie."

It's the first of its kind, it has never been done before. I don't think any artist or actor has been able to successfully merge both film and music in one experience.

On the inspiration behind "Falz Experience The Movie"

It's a combination of observing and realizing that what we had done with the event is landmark. Even before the event happened, we always wanted to do something very ground breaking and something that would last a long time in people's minds.

Meeting the Filmone crew and sharing the idea with them,  I think that was the turning point. Meeting with them and sharing ideas, we were able to conceive this concept.

I'm grateful that they [Filmone] came on board.

On choice of cast

I wanted to cast people that I have personally always been a fan of, people I have worked with in the past, and people that I also believe will make this project worth watching.

On more productions like "Falz Experience The Movie"

Definitely, there would be part two, part three and four. There would be more of this.
Distributed by Filmone, "Falz Experience The Movie" will debut in cinemas on March 2
